WAML 2023 Field Trip
Join us on a field trip around Vancouver on Saturday August 12th. We will start from UBC campus around 10:00 am. The first stop is in Chinatown to visit the Chinatown Storytelling Centre museum exhibits. Then we will take the SeaBus across Vancouver Harbor to North Vancouver to explore and have lunch (not included in field trip price). Then we will head over to Stanley Park for a 3:45 pm walking tour guided by a member of local Salish tribes of BC to learn about the Indigenous heritage of the area. If you aren’t comfortable walking 1 km, there are other activities in the park or you can relax and enjoy the sights, but be sure to purchase the appropriate field trip package when you register for the conference. You can join us for all or part of the day. We will be using public transportation to get around, but some might choose to get around by other means.
