Join us as we tour Tijuana from the locals’ perspectives. This trip includes guided bus and walking tours of sites around this border town, experiencing the architecture, culture, food and drink of Baja California.
Cost: $85.00 per person plus trolley fare (guests welcome) Pay the $85 fee when registering for the conference. Payment will not be accepted at the event. The trolley fare is only $2.50 each way, which you can pay on the day of the event.
The Experience includes:
- Transportation.
- Mexican meal and drinks.
- Craft Beer Taster (Flight 4 X 5oz or 1 Pint).
- 3 Talks – Urban Crowd of Baja, Tijuana and the Border.
- 3 local tour guides
Needs from each participant:
- Passport
- ID / Driver License
- Fill out a form for Mexican Customs (We will provide to make a faster entrance to Mexico)
- Trolley fare

| 9:00 am | Depart from conference hotel. Travel via San Diego Trolley to San Ysidro. |
| 10:00 am | Walk over border into Mexico |
| 10:30 am | Stop for a coffee at one of the multi-disciplinary buildings done to change a neighborhood – Estación Federal (Talk with one of the managers of the building) |
| 11:20 am | On our way to Playas de Tijuana (Beach of Tijuana, Wall and Monument) |
| 11:50 am | Arrive at the beach of Tijuana, walk and talk about the wall. |
| 12:30 pm | Take off to downtown Tijuana |
| 1:00 pm | Arrive at downtown Tijuana for a talk with Estudio Gracia/ Escuela Libre de Arquitectura. One of the most important studios of architecture in the region. |
| 2:00 pm | Walk along Avenida Revolución (Revolution Avenue) on our way to the restaurant for the meal and soft drinks (service just for our group). |
| 3:15 pm | Walk to the Brewery on the fifth floor of a building with an excellent view to finish the experience. |
| 4:00 pm | Depart for the border. |
| 4:15 pm | Drop off at the border. |
| 4:40 pm | Reconvene on the American side of the border and take the San Diego Trolley to Old Town San Diego and the conference hotel. |
| 5:30 pm | Arrive at conference hotel. |
