Getting Started with the Map Librarian’s Toolbox
All active members of WAML can edit and create new articles for the toolbox. To get started, log into the WAML website, using the form below or visit waml.org/membership-login.
Once you’re logged in, you will see a black toolbar at the top of your page, like this.
You can edit any toolbox article by navigating to it and selecting Edit Article. You can create a new article by hovering over + New and selecting WAML Map Librarian’s Toolbox – Article.

Tips for Articles
When creating a new article, be sure to assign it at least one category. You may create a new category, but use discretion in doing so.

Also when creating a new article, you can check Pending review to get another set of eyes on your work before it is published.

To get familiar with writing using the WordPress Block Editor, you can peruse the documentation (WordPress block editor – Documentation). Most importantly, you can create paragraphs, headings, links, and insert images very easily.
On a new line you can begin typing and the block will be a paragraph by default. By clicking the black box with a white plus, you can select a block to insert.

You can experiment with different available blocks. You can also edit the text you’re writing by clicking the text or highlighting a portion. The contents of this toolbar will change based on context.

When you’re happy with your work, you can click Save draft or Save as Pending if you selected Pending review.

If you are ready to publish, go ahead and click that big blue Publish button.
