New Western Mapping for Summer 2025
Guest editor: Ken Rockwell, with the assistance of Chrissy Klenke
Michael Smith, who has been doing this feature for the past two years, has retired. WAML’s Executive Board sent out a call for a new editor, and has voted to provide an honorarium for this position. I volunteered to assist any prospective editor to get started. Chrissy Klenke expressed interest in taking on the column, and we collaborated on this edition. She now finds she is short on time to do the main editing, but she can continue to cover a couple of states including Nevada. Ideally, representatives of different states and provinces would send in their findings to the column editor, as I have been doing for my region. So my offer still stands, to help a new volunteer to take on this job, and if others (especially representatives from California and Colorado) would join in the effort, we can make it a less odious chore!
